What is Tangerine?

Monday, April 30, 2018

Tangerine is of the citrus family and its oil is extracted using the cold pressed method from the rind. This smaller and sweeter cousin to the orange is a popular fruit and easily cultivated in any tropical or sub-tropical environment.  The Tangerine is as tasty as it is good for you, so this popular fruit is grown all over the world.

Some of the most popular uses of tangerine are:
Dissolve cellulite, digestion, cooking, insomnia, and calming.

Tangerine not only tastes good but like many of our citrus oils it is excellent to help with all things digestion. Add it to your water with dinner to help ease digestion. It is also helpful in relieving gas. Not only is it good for the inside of the body but the outside as well. Place on cellulite to dissolve it and mix it with lavender to make an excellent blend to fight stretch marks. Tangerine will keep your skin smooth and smelling good. Just remember like with all citrus oils stick to the shade if you are outside. The citrus oils make your skin sensitive to the sun for between six and twelve hours after use.

When it comes to emotions Tangerine is the oil of cheer. Perfect for parties or any time you want to brighten up your day. Just put a few drops of this sweet smelling oil in your diffuser anytime you need a little cheery pick me up. Also as most citrus oils are excellent for cleaning a few drops in your home cleaning blend can help keep your spirits up while you keep your house clean.
